wulya!!!

WULYA is a matchmaking app for football players. We created a full brand identity and user experience that embodies the thrill of scoring — from the bold logo to every tap in the app. It’s where game meets glory.

TECHGROWTH

The Problem

Casual footballers play hard — but the tools to organize games, track scores, or celebrate wins? Scattered, boring, or nonexistent.

The Solution

WULYA turns every match into a moment. We built a brand and app that captures the joy of play — with the UX to make it actually work.

Branding the Thrill

WULYA’s identity is built like a goal celebration — bold, loud, and full of energy. From its shout-inspired logo to its high-contrast colors, everything is designed to reflect the action and adrenaline of casual football moments.

Logo

A Shout
you can see

Inspired by the moment fans yell “WULYA!” after a goal, the logo captures energy, movement, and emotion. The sharp angles, custom shape, and “!!!” say it all: this is not your average app — it’s a game on fire.

Color Palette

Built
for Impact

A bright Lawn Green meets deep Space Cadet. Electric, high-contrast, and unapologetically sporty, the palette was made to stand out in the feed — and on the field.

Typography

Big. Bold.
In Motion.

TheBiggon, BigX, and Wahram Regular come together for a punchy, expressive tone. Designed for headers, chants, and big wins — the font system looks like it’s already mid-celebration.

Tone of Voice

Play
to Win!!!

The tone is electric: short lines, big energy, and football slang. We say what players feel — “Play to Win!”, “Make Every Moment a Goal!”, “WULYA!!!” It’s voice as a victory cry.

Icons & Badges

The icon system was built to feel modular and playful — stickers you want to tap. From match symbols to social badges, each icon is bold, legible, and styled for in-game energy. The 3D bronze, silver, and gold badges reinforce progress and reward.

Designing the Game Before the Game

From first tap to final score, WULYA’s UX was designed for momentum. We mapped every screen to reflect how players actually think — fast, focused, and always looking for their next win.

UX Problem

It’s surprisingly hard to find people to play football with — especially casually. WhatsApp groups are messy, schedules clash, and most apps focus on team management, not player matchmaking.

For casual players who just want to get a game going, there was no clean, mobile-native way to find other players nearby, lock in a match, and enjoy the ride.

UX Objectives

WULYA set out to fix that. We designed a football matchmaking app where players can find others, join games, and unlock rewards — all in just a few taps. It blends utility (match discovery, invites, scoring) with a game-like experience that keeps things fun.

This meant building a UX that does three things fast:

  1. Find players (or matches near you)

  2. Join or organize a game in under a minute

  3. Gamify the experience so that scoring goals isn’t the only way to win

One Flow, Two Entry Points

WULYA is designed for two types of users:

Solo players looking to join a game, and clubs (teams) looking for an opponent.

The core user journey stays the same — find a match, confirm details, play, and get rewarded.

What changes is how the match is initiated:

Solo Mode
Find a Team, Then Play
“I want to play. Help me find teammates and opponents.”
  • Browse nearby open matches

  • Apply to join a match (WULYA assigns you to a team)

  • Confirm once enough players are matched

  • Game kicks off, score and badges follow

This flow is optimized for quick discovery, low barrier to entry, and onboarding new players.

Club Mode
Find an Opponent, Then Play

“We already have our team. Let’s find someone to challenge.”

  • Log in with team profile

  • Create a match listing with time/place/team size

  • Wait for another team to accept or challenge one

  • Confirm match → proceed with same game flow

This entry point simplifies the experience for organized groups, removing the team-building step but keeping the rest of the journey identical.

Unified Match Flow
Where paths converge

After the match is confirmed (regardless of entry point), all users go through the same flow:

  • Match countdown (lobby) + pre-game screen

  • Score logging + MVP voting

  • XP system & badge unlock

  • Weekly rankings & leaderboard visibility

This makes WULYA feel cohesive and scalable — whether you play weekly with your squad or just jump in solo.

Micro-Interactions & Gamification

WULYA turns casual football games into exciting challenges through a gamified experience designed to engage players from first tap to final score.

  • Player & Club Cards : Each player and club has a dynamic card showing stats, trophies, and highlights.

  • Match Stats & Skills : Speed, dribble, vision, passes… every match updates your skill profile and adds to your card.

  • Trophies & Rankings : Win games, earn trophies, and climb the leaderboard.

  • Celebration Screens : Post-match screens showcase achievements, rankings, and MVPs.

Design that feels like the game.

WULYA’s interface is designed to echo the energy of football — fast, bold, and social. The UI brings clarity to action, while keeping the visual experience playful and rewarding.

Mobile-First, One-Hand Logic

The interface is built for in-motion use: thumb-friendly zones, quick-action layouts, and minimal scroll fatigue. Navigation is reduced to simple tabs and carousels — optimized for fast entry and quick rewards.

Game-Like Touchpoints

Buttons and CTAs are large, tactile, and surrounded by subtle shadows or glows. Interactions feel satisfying, with transitions that mimic game energy (e.g., pop-in animations, badge bursts, and sound haptics).

Modular Card System

Players, clubs, matches, and stats are all structured into swipeable cards with layered info. These cards adapt across contexts — from discovery feeds to match previews — creating consistency and speed.
